| Details: Job Summary: Under the direction of a physician and with little supervision, performs procedures using conventional ultrasound equipment of designated body portions. Provides health care services, applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs ultrasonic imaging and related procedures in one of the following areas: OB/GYN, abdomen, neurosonology, and vascular exams. Demonstrates anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Performs clerical duties as needed.  Works will patients aged neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.  Essential Duties:Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures. Corroborates patient's history with procedure, assuring information is documented and available for use by licensed practitioner. Prepares patient for procedures and provides patient education/instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety. Understands and applies patient relation skills. Selects and operates ultrasound equipment and associated devises to achieve desired results. Positions patient and equipment to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort. Immobilizes properly as needed for exam. Assumes responsibility for provision of physical and psychological needs of patients' during procedures. Exercises precautions in patient applications, respecting the biological needs of patients during procedures.Determines ultrasonic frequencies and appropriate transducers for the anatomic area of interest. Evaluates images for technical quality, assuring proper identification is recorded.Verifies informed consent for and assists physician with intervention procedures; needle localization's, aspirations, biopsies, and amniocentesis. Practice aseptic techniques as necessary. Maintains knowledge of and observes Universal precautions. Initiates basic life support action when necessary.Understands methods and is capable of performing venipunctures. In agreement with state statute and/. or policy permits, prepares, identifies, and/or administers contrast media and/or medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. | ||||

| Details: There is a unique opportunity to serve in the United States Army Reserve as an Interpreter / Translator as part of a program. Through this program the Army hopes to gain Middle-Eastern language speakers to help with rebuilding efforts. This position requires an eight-year military service obligation in the U.S. Army Individual Ready Reserve. Although you will be in the Reserves, you may be called upon to serve on active duty as determined by the needs of the Army. You may also be eligible for a $10,000 enlistment bonus.Training Job training for an Interpreter / Translator requires you to demonstrate proficiency of the English language at the Defense Language Institute, English Language Center. The length of your stay will depend on the level of your English language proficiency. Once you have successfully completed this, you must attend and successfully complete nine weeks of Basic Combat Training (BCT) where you will learn the basic skills necessary to become a Soldier. Immediately following BCT you will attend Advanced Individual Training (AIT). While at AIT, you will learn the specific skills required to successfully perform your day to day duties as a Translator Aide. | ||||
